Character juggler Chris Ivey returns to kick off our summer with his theatrical juggling show. Prepare to be amazed and entertained by his elaborate stage settings, heart pounding music, and more, mixed with an assortment of juggling, comedy, magic, and a little danger! An all ages show.

Some of our favorite heroes are also movie stars. Join us for a hero themed movie and relax in our air conditioned library. This week we’ll have two movies: One at 10 am The Three Musketeers (animated Disney version with Mickey, Donald, and Goofy) (rated G) for our youngest readers and one at 1 pm The Three Musketeers (live action Disney version) (rated PG) for our older readers in the library basement. Middletown Public Library has switched to a new Computer Management System CASSIE. This is the program which allows patrons to use the public computers and print. Patrons should not notice much difference in Middletown. You will sign in with the same ID number and pin as before. You will not lose any money you have on your account for printing, but the money on your SAM account for printing will not transfer automatically. Help us celebrate our community heroes as we welcome our local police, fire, and EMS personnel and their vehicles. Check out the inside of an ambulance and discover what all those tools are on a fire truck. You’ll want to bring your camera to this event! An all ages event in the Borough parking lot on S. Calling all Superheroes! Join us for our Superhero Academy at the MCSO Building. Test your skills at our superhero obstacle course, create a super hero bracelet, and take your photo with some “real” superheroes! Wear your favorite super hero shirt, cape, or mask and be sure to bring a camera! An all ages event.

Sing a song about heroes as we welcome award winning musical duo “Two of a Kind” who are sure to delight the audience with their music, humor, and audience participation. An all ages show.

Do you love dogs? Week six brings us “Hero” animals including Caring Hearts Pet Therapy, Susquehanna Service Dogs, and a K-9 Unit. Help us celebrate these not so average heroes by joining us for an all ages show.

Do you like bugs? Then you need to come this week to check out Ryan “The Bug Man” and his collection of assorted insects. With a passion for entomology (that means he likes bugs!) Ryan has been sharing his knowledge and creature collection for over 30 years! Come and see how incredible insects can be. This week we’ll have two shows: a show at 10 am for our youngest readers (suggested ages 2-6 please) and a show at 1 pm for our older readers (ages 6 and up).
