Summer Celebration Picnic with Community Heroes

Last but not least – those who complete the summer reading program by completing a BLACKOUT on their BINGO card by Sat. August 8th are invited to our end of summer picnic celebration. This year we welcome our local community heroes including the Middletown Police Department, Middletown Fire Company, and South Central EMS who will be visiting us at Hoffer Park on Wed. August 12th. Participants will also have the chance to run through our "Superhero Obstacle Course" and are encouraged to wear their superhero masks, capes, or costumes! 2nd Annual Wine, Wheels, and Beer Festival and Car Show

Vineyard at Hershey 598 Schoolhouse Road, Middletown

Central Pa Car Shows has teamed up with The Vineyard and Brewery at Hershey for Wine, Wheels, & Beer for a day of relaxation, music, food, and lots of car show fun.  Proceeds benefit the Middletown Public Library. Library Card Sign Up Day

Children ages 5 and older may sign-up for their own library card. Parents/guardians must be with the child and have a current photo ID. All children who sign-up or display their library card will receive a free lunch and a free book courtesy of Kiwanis Club of Middletown.

Tales with T.A.I.L.S.

Caring Hearts Pet Therapy program Tales with T.A.I.L.S. (Therapy Animals Increase Literacy Skills) seeks to improve children’s reading and communication skills with the assistance of registered therapy animal teams. The children are encouraged to read, engage, and connect with the pet. Bring your favorite book or two or choose one here at the library to share with one of our animal friends. Children will have the opportunity to read individually or in small groups with each of the animals at the session depending on the number of children registered and pets available.
