Labor Day – CLOSED

Middletown Public Library

We will be closed on Monday, Sept. 1st in observance of the Labor Day holiday. We will reopen Tuesday, Sept. 2nd at 9:30 am.

Story time for our youngest readers. (Recommended for ages birth – 24 months with a caregiver) No registration is required and siblings are welcome. Please note the time change. This 4-week session we'll be sharing stories, songs, and rhymes about mice! From Library Mouse to If You Give a Mouse a Cookie to Mortimer to Mickey it'll be squeaky good fun!

Teen Night (grades 6-12) Movie: DIVERGENT

For students in grades 6 – 12 Join our PSU intern Sarah in the library to watch DIVERGENT - the movie based on the popular YA series. You can also create art, complete unique crafts, and share snacks. Teen nights are a low-key setting and a great place to spend time with friends and learn something new!

Book Discussion Group

Members of the book discussion group meet monthly to discuss a variety of chosen books. New members are always welcome and registration is not required. Book selections are as follows: January – I am Malala by Malala Yousafzai, February – One Book, One Community winner Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline, March – Rocket Boys by Homer Hickman, April – The Art Forger by B.A. Shapiro, May – The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd. The library will close early this evening (at 5:00 pm) to celebrate the annual Middletown Halloween Parade. We will reopen at our regular time on Tuesday the 21st at 9:30 am.
