(Therapy Animals Increase Literacy Skills) seeks to improve children’s reading and communication skills with the assistance of registered therapy animal teams. Science Fiction Book Club
OnlineScience Fiction Book Club is an online book club on Facebook. Each month the members vote on which science fiction novel to read and discuss and a weekly discussion question is posted every Friday. There is also a weekly short fiction discussion. Members also post about other science fiction novels and science fiction topics. Group members live all around the world. Here is a Member Map. Many Science Fiction authors as well as biographers/archivists have participated in Q and A sessions with the group.

Middletown Public LibraryThe Middletown Public Library is partnering with the United Way’s “Money in Your Pocket” program which offers FREE tax preparation for low to moderate-income individuals and families (Families, 2 or more people, who made $60,000 or less and individuals who made $45,000 or less in 2022 may be eligible). The program runs Monday nights from 5:00 to 8 pm beginning January 30 and ending April 10. People are helped on a first come, first served basis.
