The Middletown Public Library is partnering with the United Way's "Money in Your Pocket" program which offers FREE tax preparation for low to moderate-income individuals and families (generally those with a yearly income of $54,000 or less). The program runs Monday nights from 5:30 to 8 pm beginning February 1 and ending April 18. People are helped on a first come, first served basis. Caring Hearts Pet Therapy program Tales with T.A.I.L.S. (Therapy Animals Increase Literacy Skills) seeks to improve children’s reading and communication skills with the assistance of registered therapy animal teams. Library Card Sign Up Day

Children ages 5 and older may sign-up for their own library card. Parents/guardians must be with the child and have a current photo ID. All children who sign-up or display their library card will receive a free lunch and a free book courtesy of Kiwanis Club of Middletown.

Do you like bugs? Then you need to come this week to check out Ryan “The Bug Man” and his collection of assorted insects. With a passion for entomology (that means he likes bugs!) Ryan has been sharing his knowledge and creature collection for over 30 years! Come and see how incredible insects can be. This week we’ll have two shows: a show at 10 am for our youngest readers (suggested ages 2-6 please) and a show at 1 pm for our older readers (ages 6 and up).
