Summer Celebration Picnic with Community Heroes
Hoffer ParkLast but not least – those who complete the summer reading program by completing a BLACKOUT on their BINGO card by Sat. August 8th are invited to our end of summer picnic celebration. This year we welcome our local community heroes including the Middletown Police Department, Middletown Fire Company, and South Central EMS who will be visiting us at Hoffer Park on Wed. August 12th. Participants will also have the chance to run through our "Superhero Obstacle Course" and are encouraged to wear their superhero masks, capes, or costumes! Middletown Public LibraryThe Great Healthy Dessert Bake-Off! Saturday, June 11th as part of the Kick-Off to Summer Reading Carnival! Drop off- the goods between 9:30-9:45 am. Judging to take place promptly at 10 am -Recipes may be wholly original or come from a book. -Judging criteria will be based on taste, presentation AND the health of the recipe. -Entrants must bring a copy of the recipe along with the dessert. Prizes will be awarded for the best dessert meeting all judging criteria
